Stella and her husband Rony have lived in Roslyn, New York, with their two children Alex and Ashley for the last 15 years.  Stella migrated to the United States in 1976 from Iran.

Stella graduated from Baruch College with a BA in Business Management. Upon graduation she started working for a major bank and went on to become assistant branch manager.  After a successful career in banking, Stella, looking for a new challenge, started a new career in the financial services industry.

Stella started her career in this field with another large insurance company.  She joined New York Life Insurance Company in 2003.  She was a council agent for five consecutive years.  In 2009 Stella was promoted to be a Partner with New York Life.

Mustaque H. Choudhury, MBA has joined New York Life Insurance Company as a Partner in the Nassau General Office under the leadership of Akram Abbassi, CLF. Mustaque has been in the Industry for last ten years and steadily moved up in the hierarchy. Before joining New York Life, Mustaque was a Financial Services Professional with Metlife Insurance Company and achieved Leader Conference ($ 200,000 FYC) on his first year's service in the Company. Because of work ethics and extreme will power, Mustaque got the position of Director of Advanced Sales with John Hancock Financial Network in 2009. Thoroughout his industry experience he has developed close relationships with top producers and managers across the country, and enjoys brainstorming with agents to determine the right product solutions for their clients.  His new responsibilities at New York Life will allow him to continue working collaboratively with agents and manage them to help grow life and investment sales in the Nassau General Office.   

Mustaque completed his Masters in Business Administration (M.B.A.) and undergraduate degree in Finance at the City University of New York.  Mustaque currently lives in Queens.

 

 

Sarwar Z. Khan

Sarwar Z. Khan started his career in the Financial Services Industry in August of 1991 as an agent with the Prudential. He was named as the Rookie that year and produced well over MDRT production requirement in his full year of 1992. He achieved the Gold and the Platinum record award and Regional and International Business Conference awards as an agent.Sarwar Khan was promoted to Sales Manager in August of 1993. In the same year he was enrolled in the AMTC and was graduated in 1994. As sales Manager Sarwar qualified for several Regional and International Business Conference and National Management Conference and had consecutive President Citation in 1996 and 1997.Sarwar is a recipient of career Development Award of GAMA for five consecutive years, 1996-2000.Sarwar Joined the Nassau General Office of NYLIFE and became a partner in August of 2012.Sarwar and his wife Rubela have two daughters, Kashafa and Sanjeeda.Sarwar Z. Sweeta  Khona  joined New York Life Insurance Company as an agent in Oct ober, 2004.  She qualified for Executive Council Status twice in a row (2005 and 2006). She was promoted to a Partner in July 2006.

Sweeta has been in the financial services industry for the past 15 years. Before joining New York Life Insurance Company she was a very successful financial service manager at a Bank.

She joined New York Life Insurance Company “for a new challenge, growth and the potential to earn substantial income”.

On a personal note Sweeta has a Bachelor's Degree in Business from Gandhiji University, India.

Sweeta and her husband Kirti currently reside in Syosset with their two sons, Rushab and Sagar.

 

 

Shahrouz Torabi, MBA

Shahrouz Torabi has a Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering and an MBA in Financial Management. He moved to the U.S in May of 2005.

Shahrouz started his career in the financial services industry as an agent with Metlife Insurance Company. He made Executive Council the first year of his career.

Shahrouz joined the Nassau General Office of New York Life in June 2011, and made President's Council in his first year as an agent. He then became a partner in January of 2013.  His passions are music and tennis.

 

Richard Gonzalez, MBA

Richard is a veteran of the financial services industry with experience at Citibank, JP Morgan Chase and most recently Capital One where he was the Senior Vice President responsible for all branches in Lower Manhattan. In addition to his District Manager responsibilities, Richard also supported company diversity initiatives and served as Capital One's Co-Leader of the New York Chapter of the Hispanic Network, an employee resource group. 

 In 2014, Richard recognized a great opportunity to put his collective knowledge, experience and licenses to further use as a Partner at Fortune 100 industry leader, New York Life. His decision was driven by his strong impression of the Nassau General Office team and the company's outstanding commitment to cultural markets. 

Richard earned his Bachelor of Arts from St. John's University in 1988 and was awarded his Master of Business Administration degree in 1992 at Adelphi University, specializing in Management and Marketing. In 2000, he was nominated for and completed the Emerging Leaders Program at the University of Denver and is a member of the National Society of Hispanic MBAs and the Association of Latino Professionals For America. He also served on the Board of Directors for a Lower Manhattan business improvement district and was honored at the United Nations where he received a “Latino Trendsetter” award from Defining Trends Magazine.

Richard lives in Manhasset Hills, Long Island where he enjoys spending quality time with his wife and daughters. He also enjoys classic cars, martial arts and mentoring others.

James Varriale is a Partner in the Nassau General Office of New York Life. His career with New York Life started in 2006 as an agent in the Long Island General Office. James spent five years as an agent achieving success and recognition such as “Rookie of the Year”, The Life Foundation Award, Centurion, as well as four consecutive Councils.

James was promoted to the leadership ranks as the Sales Development Manager in the Westchester GO in May 2011, and moved to join the Nassau General Office in April, 2014. In February of 2015 James was promoted to the Partner Ranks within the Nassau General Office. James' vision is to be able to impart all the skill sets, and knowledge he has acquired over his 9+ years with New York Life and share them with good people that seek out a great Career with the Nassau General Office of New York Life.

Don Boyle is Director of Development in the Nassau General Office of New York Life.  His career with New York Life started in 2001, as an agent in the South Florida General Office.  He had much success there for more than 5 years, prior to being promoted to Sales Development Manager in the North Shore General Office in Jericho. 

Don has trained and worked with hundreds of agents to help them acheive their greatest successes in this industry.  Don loves what he does, and is grateful to represent both New York Life and the Nassau General Office.

 

 

Jemal Carter

Jemal S. Carter grew up in Harlem, New York and is the oldest of six children. He started his first business, with the help of the Children's Aid Society at the age of 13. Jemal has held management positions at some of the nation's top companies over a twenty year span.

Jemal joined New York Life in 2012 as an agent. Seeing the opportunity to educate and give back to his community, Jemal became on of the top performing agents in the office. He has won various awards including the Career Life Producer Award, Career Life Success Award, Strive for Excellence and countless others. After reaching the Executive Council level in his first two years and building a client base of over three hundred, Jemal decided it was time to return to management so he could help cultivate successful financial professionals, that would continue to spread the message and service the communities they live  and work in.

Jemal lives with his wife and has two beautiful daughters.

 

 

Jessica Cornejo

Jessica began her career in the financial services industry at an agency of MassMutual Financial Group in 2005. Her responsibilities there as Agency Supervisory Officer included basic compliance and supervision of the producers. She obtained her Series 7 and 24 FINRA registrations while with MassMutual.

Jessica joined the Nassau General Office as Agency Standards Consultant in July 2015. In this role, she works with agents and managers to ensure that they have all the knowledge and tools they need to comply with the laws, regulations and rules to which they must adhere. Jessica also recognizes the business needs of agents, and serves as a valuable resource in helping them achieve their goals.

Jessica and her husband, Juan, welcomed their first child Harrison in July 2014. They currently reside in the Woodhaven section of Queens, NY.

Bill came to New York Life from JPMorgan Chase were he was a registered representative, selling a wide variety of insurance and security products. He joined the AMT program in March of 2008 in the Long Island General Office as an Associate Administrative Manager.

Bill is currently the Administrative Manager of Nassau General Office. Bill's   responsibilities include supervision of 11 employees, in an office with over 170 Agents and 9 Partners.

Bill lives in Westbury, New York with his lovely wife Emily and 3 sons Liam, Brandon and Finn.
